Busducts are used at many sites substituting power cables because they have the following advantages: they has small electromagnetic waves and excellent seismic resistance; can discharge a lot of electric current; and may be reused.
However, there are a lot of junctions in its structure and it is more likely to generate heat due to incorrect connection, which may cause a big fire. It is necessary to make a careful monitoring.
Aptechinc’s DTS temperature monitoring system carries out real-time monitoring of temperature changes in busduct by using linear temperature monitoring sensor so that those changes will be instantly recognizable.
